The neobank\u2014backed by Andbank Group, AXA, and El Corte Ingl\u00e9s, among others\u2014has appointed <strong>Juan Antonio Alcaraz<\/strong>, former head of retail banking at CaixaBank until January 2023 and current director of <strong>Nortia Capital<\/strong> (the Lao family&#8217;s holding company), and <strong>\u00c1ngel Hernando<\/strong>, director of <strong>Arama Futuro<\/strong> (the family office of \u00c1ngel As\u00edn), to its board.<\/p>\n<p>MyInvestor approved the entry of both directors at its shareholders&#8217; meeting last June. However, <strong>the appointments were officially published this Tuesday<\/strong> in the Official State Gazette (BOE).<\/p>\n<p>With Alcaraz and Hernando, MyInvestor&#8217;s board now consists of 14 members. According to its bylaws, the board of directors must be composed of a minimum of five and a maximum of 15 members.<\/p>\n<p>These will be divided into nine proprietary directors; two executive directors\u2014<strong>Carlos As\u00f3<\/strong>, Chairman of Andbank Group and Vice Chairman of MyInvestor, and <strong>Nuria Rocamora<\/strong>, CEO of the neobank\u2014and three independent directors.<\/p>\n<p>Both directors join the board following the funding round that MyInvestor completed late last year, which was led by Nortia Capital and Arama Futuro.<\/p>\n<p>T<strong>he entity raised \u20ac45 million during the past fiscal year<\/strong>, which served to strengthen its capital ratios. Through this round, the institution increased its highest-quality core capital by \u20ac60 million.<\/p>\n<p>Other holding companies, such as Casticapital, Aligrupo, and Reig Patrimonia, also participated in the investment round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MyInvestor closed 2023 with a profit of \u20ac2.4 million<\/strong>, marking the neobank&#8217;s first positive financial year.
